Play with me!!!

Sometimes all we need to make us happy, or at least give us some light relief from the isolation which every introspective person acutely feels, is someone whom with we can be intelligently absurd.

Problem is, there’s not many people who understand that being absurd does not mean being stupid. A guess a way to screen for such a potential friend is to determine whether or not they laugh at a clever, random, humourous non sequitur or if they just roll their eyes and say “that’s just stupid."

It’s not stupid, it’s absurd.

And that's funny.

Edit: yeah, I know, what the fuck am I going on about? Yeah - I'm all delirious.

Totally.

Hence my love for Shaun Micallef, who is surreal to the point of absurd, and vice versa.
"Intellectual slapstick", as I refer to it... ie, slapstick of the intellect, not so much Albert Einstein and Edward deBono slipping on banana peels.

If you want online absurdity, check out The Uncyclopedia. It's so hard to find a good belly-laugh on the Internet these days...

Yup - I knew you'd get it.

Shaun Micallef was great on Thank God You're Here - I totally understand why you like him.

And thanks for the Unencyclopedia link. I was happily browsing through it at work this morning - and then went to have another look this arvo and it had been blocked. Damn Nazis!! I cannot stand having such regulated Web access. Humph.

I hate getting that "what the hell are you talking about" look. I'm all about the off-topic random comments.
