Me: So what are we waiting on? Why is this loan still not approved? We
need the approval letter for the deposit bond company.
Them: Well, it is still subject to a valuation of the property.
Me: But you guys did that two weeks ago. It's all been done!
Them: Yes, but a change was made to the loan so the process starts again.
Me: So you repeat the same things from the start rather than just
making a change and moving forward.
Them: If any change is made, the loan is reprocessing which has a 48
hour turn-around.
Me: So, as it's Thursday, we're not going to hear back for sure about
all of this until Monday, are we?
Them: That is correct.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously trained at the Monty Python Business Institute.
Ewww bank people are the pits. They need to get that service online, argue against a robot or something, it'd probably be just as effective.
So pomo
Once when I was having similar problems with red tape through the school district where I taught French, I finally got the forms that were supposed to be signed by various people located all over the upstate of our state and literally drove to each office to get all the signatures. So, after I drove 50 or 60 miles that afernoo and got it taken care of and thought to ask. The reason that the district office didn't send the form around electronically? Someone needed to plug a USB cable from the computer where those forms were saved to the wall. That was it. Granted, it was in the early days of the Internet being in schools, but still.
I hope they get it straight for you soon.
Just don't skip having the property surveyed....it's just another headache later.
I hate banks, I love my credit union.
I really hate those conversations too - you know that what they are doing doesn't make any sense but they are so bound up by the red tape that their ears and eyes are covered so they can't hear or see how stupid the process they are following is!
