Ooooh - update to below post.

I rung up the company to complain and was told that I could use a
personal referree to ID me instead of using Australia Post.

Even better, as long as they had known me for over 12 months and
belonged to one of the category of professionals that was listed, it
didn't even matter that my ID wasn't in my married name.

As it so happens, I work with a bunch of pharmacists and I did my
undergraduate degree with some of them, so I've known them for 9
years.

Handy that.

You know, it's restored my faith in humanity - and the finance people
- that there's second options for when first options fail.
