Do you give good email?

I've often thought that everyone has a certain style when they write
emails. It's like a tone of voice.

Some people don't do good email.

They write huge paragraphs of block text. There's no light heartedness
in their "voice". They are difficult to read - in fact, you feel like
you need to print out the page and go through it with a ruler and
highlighter to make sense of it.

Some people do *great* email.

They're easy and enjoyable to read, they seem funny or cute or sexy -
whatever it
is, the words are heavy with personality. You can get a real sense of
who they are.

And it's strange because you might know someone who is hilarious face to
face but who can't seem to put that across in email communication. Others
however, are kinda ordinary face to face but completely fascinating
in their email style.

Anyway, just an observation...

I'm totally comfortable talking to people online (email, messenger, blogs), but I'm really shy with some people in real life.
