Okay - here's my attempt at being deep.
Sunday thoughts:
We all have a dark side and none of us are perfect. Our dark side is where things like pessimism, despair, hopelessness and needless worry resides. What's important is to acknowledge our dark side - because it's there and we can't make it go away - but not revel in it, not feed it. We need to actively strive to reject it - constantly. We have to learn to recognise when we're revelling in our dark sides and learn to turn our backs on it.
Oh - this is my new friend. He scared the crap out of me this morning when I was doing a spot of weeding.

We put up Christmas lights this morning and were in the process of putting up the tree when we realised that the lights were missing. And so were the instructions for the oversized, highly complex tree. Hmmm.
Anyway, I'll leave the tree for now (too lazy to keep going) and we're cooking dinner.
So tonight I plan to light up the house and vege out in front of the telly watching the Idol grand final with a nice cup of tea. Bliss. (Yes, I am aging and turning into a granny at an alarming rate! I'm only in my 20s - I really should be drinking too much and being some sort of free spirit while shoving my opinion down people's throats and dressing in very revealing dresses, wearing loads of lipgloss and too high heels, staggering about and enjoying limited responsibilities. I'm too young to have mellowed already!)

Me too.
Sorry, now that I've read the rest:
"I'm too young to have mellowed already!"
Your granny-ness is just as extreme and confronting and unabashedly free-spirited as any other sort of self-expression. Enjoy!
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?
You and Juanita need to talk gardening. She never bores of it. When I was reading your post, I was thinking of Juanita reading it and thinking of having a winter home in Australia so she could garden year round.
Um....could you tell us what that was? Ari found the leg on it, so at least we know it's not a snake...
I think he's kinda cute... I mean, compared to some of the spiders you guys have over there, I imagine it's nice to have someone like him in the yard. Do the lizards like him eat funnel web spiders (I believe that's what the big bad mean one is called...?)
Here's to celebrating one's dark side!!! *Toasts with a Black Cherry Pepsi Jazz*
I'm all for the tea and snuggled in front of the telly on Sunday nights. I'd be all for the gardening as well, but I'm the original brown thumb.
Hey your friend is cool, I love lizards. We always used to look for the teeny tiny ones under my grandparents door mat.
