We decided on a "no presents" theme this year and instead had to write
each other a long love letter. It's much harder to find the words to
say what I want to say, than to just hand over the old credit card!
Anyway, it reminded me of our early days when we were doing the long
distance thing and all we had was words. Letters, emails, phone calls,
texting - it was all words. It was nice writing that letter.
I had a lot to say.
As to other things, my PhD has been approved but it's a race for time
to get me into the graduation ceremony next month. I need to get one
bound copy to the university by Friday. I was at Fedex Kinko's last
night getting a copy printed at 9pm and now it's at the book bindery.
Sure, this one will be a crappy copy (Hubby works for a printing
company and will print nicer copies to bind later) but there's a need
for speed at the moment. Gaaah! I hope the approval comes through.
I've waited a ridiculous amount of time for this and it *has* to come
through okay. I need to graduate!!
Hubby started a new job today. Hopefully this one will be better than the last!
Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day. Kisses and hugs to you all.

Hey sweetness,
Happy Valentine's Day to you too! Sounds like a busy, but happy time for you. Glad all is going well. Congrats on your PhD!
Hugs to you too, tootsie.
CONGRATS on the phD approval!!!!
And Happy Valentine's Day! I love your idea of the long love letter. It seems so much more meaningful than some of the standard presents.
Congrats on the PhD good news!!!!! What you describe for your dissertation actually reminds me of the printing like crazy thing I went through to get my master's thesis taken care of in rapid measure. If I knew anything about pharmacology, I'd ask to purchase a copy :) Still, one day I'll come out to Aussie Land, and then I'll ask if I can flip through a copy...one of the nice ones that Hubby will bind later. I'm so glad the end is now here for you! Woohoo!
