And he's cute! I saw another one last week - but he was shorter and
fatter. I'm used to them - we had one who lived around the back of the
pool for a few years when I was a kid. Besides, we live near National
Park and water and that - having lots of living creatures around is to
be expected!
Blue tongues are lovely - they protect the garden by eating nasty
snails, slugs and caterpillars.
Oh - excitement - last night during the Idol grand finals, we could
see the fireworks going off over the Opera House from our backyard at
the same time it was on TV. (I was all jumping up and down and yelling
"Fireworks! OMG!" - I'm sure the neighbours think I'm mad. I knew we'd
be able to see city fireworks but I thought they'd be a lot more
distant - they actually look pretty good!
As for Idol, I guess I didn't care who won. I loved Bobby Flynn and
when he left I lost all interest. But it was lovely to hear him last
night.

I think he's kind cute. (See comments below.) My son agrees and is ready to come visit Australia and see how different your reptiles are from ours, lol. =o)
I thought it was some horrible legless lizard or a very short snake. Y'all got some weird assed animals down there!
EEEK! I'd have a heart attack if I ran into one of those guys in my backyard! ;-)
There is a family of lizards who live outside of my house, and they are not at all afraid of people. I scream every time one darts in front of me. Give me bugs over reptiles anyday!
I've re-linked you on my blog!
Oh you've got a blue tongue in your garden, lucky things. Blue tongues are uber cool. I really miss Aussie wildlife (except the spiders of course), although I suppose squirrels almost make up for it.
I LOVE bluetongues! Bluetongues ROCK!
