the season the other day and that was just in my backyard pool - what
am I going to do when heading out to the local beaches? Gaah - must
tone up!) and so I joined the workplace Spartan-style training team.
It's really good.
We head down to a local oval twice a week at lunchtime, jog five laps,
do lots of push-ups, sit ups, things called "Marshalls", boxing,
medicine ball torture and then head back to work for a shower.
It's just about 5pm and I feel so awake and energised in comparison to
my usual "waaah - I wanna have an afternoon nap"-feel.
I think it's a really great idea.
(Let's see how long I keep this one up for!)

Lol - I just packed away the summer clothes and got out the sweaters! I am hoping I can tone up by the next bikini season too, however. I need all the time I can get. =o)
lol, can I just say I totally had a nap at 5pm yesterday. uh oh.
There is nothing better to make you feel alive and awake than a workout.
It's just the motivation to GET to the gym or to see the trainer that defeats me.
I have just started a strict toning up regime so as to be ready for Christmas lunch + afternoon nap
JT :)
JPD - you are moving into cover-up season. It's wonderful - enjoy eating all you like!
m - napping is good though. It's not fair that only pre-schoolers and kindergardeners get to do it formally in this country. I say we all lie together on the carpet after lunch break!
steph - I'm like that too. I can do anything if someone makes me do it, but I'm terrible at motivating myself!
jim - considering Christmas lunch entails consuming about 20,000 kilojoules, I'm glad you're starting now!
